Otter Cliffs

A popular destination for anyone visiting the park, the Otter Cliffs will definitely be worth your time. The views of the cliffs are not only thrilling, they’re magnificent. This is an ideal spot for pictures and jaw-dropping scenery!

Bar Harbor Downtown

Bar Harbor is the town right outside Acadia National Park and is the place to go for food, souvenirs, views of the harbor, and more! So many restaurants are sprinkled throughout the main street along with various bakeries and ice-cream shops! It is such a nice place to visit after a long day at Acadia and is perfect for families and pets!

Jordan Pond Loop

Jordan Pond Loop is an easy 3-and-a-half mile trail that is suitable for many fitness levels. It is a beautiful path around the Jordan Pond and the scenery is marvelous! The beauty of the loop is that it has multiple opportunities for detours to go up a mountain and then come back down onto the Jordan Pond Path. Halfway through the loop, the trail becomes boardwalk-like, and you end up walking on a flat, well-made wooden bridge-type path. It is so amazing how well the boardwalk was built to preserve the forest and not let humans harm nature. The start and finish of the loop is at the Jordan Pond House which is a restaurant where you can sit outdoors and admire the views with your meal!

South Bubble Trail

This is a moderately strenuous hike that takes you up to the South Bubble Point and bubble rock. The views are spectacular and I would do this hike again any day. In my book, this was my favorite hike in Acadia because of its difficulty level and views. It was truly a great experience hiking up to the peak, and I recommend this hike to anyone who’s up for a doable challenge!

Southwest Harbor

For us, this was a quick stop and photo opportunity right when entering the National Park. Southwest Harbor is an amazing sight with houses along the water that are spectacular. This place is worth anyone’s time and is perfect for a little walk along the shore!
